Funded Research Opportunities
Here is the link to the National Science Foundation's Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU): Click on this link The most obvious place to find "psychology" opportunities is within the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences section listed at the very bottom (this link); however, explore the other options, you might find something in another area that fits your interests well. Our Psi Chi contact person for this is Jacob Johnston ([email protected]), he did an REU in summer 2015.
Research Opportunities at EIU
If you are interested in this opportunity (PSY 4100 Undergraduate Research), you have to first meet with the professor; then, you get from the Psych Dept Office, or the professor, a form for PSY4100; you fill out the information about yourself; the professor fills out his/her portion; you both sign the form; you then turn it in to the Psych Dept. The Dept (i.e., Ann) registers you for the course. The point is that YOU don't just decide to take PSY4100 and register for it.
