- Spend time with your predecessor and learn about the duties of your office.
- Take possession of all the materials necessary to perform your duties.
- Reserve the University Ballroom for the Department Banquet the following year.
- At the start of the fall semester, reserve rooms with Campus Scheduling for meetings (room #119-0 or #1141) and Induction (room #2120). Inform the Psychology Department about the room reservations.
- Take and record the minutes of each Executive and Chapter meeting.
- Keep an accurate roll of members’ attendance at meetings.
- Distribute copies of the minutes to the Webmaster for posting on the website.
- Compile and maintain a list of the e-mail addresses of all members.
- Register new members with the National Office and order Induction Materials after applications are received and approved.
- Regularly notify all members and advisors of the place and time of meetings, elections, inductions, and other chapter activities.
- Update chapter QT message board.
- Email important updates to members.
- Check Psi Chi mailbox at least once a week (Check out key from Psychology Office Secretary for the small mailbox in the front of the office; there is a second mailbox in the back of the office that you will have to ask the secretary to check).
- Carry on necessary correspondence.
- Order cords for graduating seniors once a semester.
- Distribute all e-mailed Digests from the Central Office to the chapter members.
- Receive and distribute all materials from the Central Office.
- Prepare a report, in late April, of chapter activities during the year. Submit one chapter activities report to the Central Office each year.

- Orient your successor and turn over all materials related to your office to that person.
